Abandoned Cars Everywhere!

Every weekend, I would drive out of my way to Sri Petaling to send my laundry & collect the freshly ironed crispy smelling office wears for the whole week. It is so weird that I still patronize this same laundry shop since 1995 when my ex-Hong Kong boss operated his agency just next door. I have been so faithful to this shop for 16 years! They are not fantastic or cheap but I keep slapping my face for sending my clothes there. The old couple has sold off this business to a new younger aunty who is really a "Sei Pat Phor" to me whose mouth is full of the grime words always. Maybe she has been washing dirty linen too much, hence her words uttered is such, too.

Now I wanna point out that each week when I drove into this shop's quiet lane, I would see a red abandoned car. When it was parked there, I recall it was in mint and intact condition. It has been so many months and bit by bit of the car has been stripped.

First, it was 2 tires and then 4 tires before the windows got smashed eventually. Today 3 doors have been ripped off plus the dashboard has been cleared too.

It just made me wonder so much about this Red Car's fate!

Was it stolen?

How many strippers or thieves have torn it apart?

Why no one bothered to tow it away or report to the police?

Can someone give me the contact number for the "kereta potong" or junkyard?

I have decided to send this eye-sore away and redeem some cash from recycling. I might treat you to a Japanese Buffet with the cash.

You might have seen many other abandoned cars in your neighbourhood too!
Do something and clean up the environment!

  1. Our society is in bad shape like our government; and not unlike our politicians and preachers – we seem to pay homage to hoodlums and drug dealers and even murder nets what...ten years and out in 8 with good behavior. I think China has already passed us and is now the most powerful economic force in the world and Japan is probably second. I don't know where this country stands these days but to steal to make money to buy dope is a busted-down society.

So sorry for the car owner.

  2. Perhaps the value of the scrap metal does not cover the tow/transport charges...

  3. aiyoyo, Arumugam you send your clothes to the laundry?? i thot Letchumi will be doing all those for you, hand washed?? haiz, you don't let her do that, somemore give them to other women.. and you're willing to deal with a "Sei Pat Phor" who kept scolding people but not your beloved Letchumi herself!!!

  4. aiyoyo, whose car is that?? i thot that was Arumugam's abandoned car, initially a birthday present for Letchumi.. now Arumugam doesn't allow Letchumi to drive out, because scared she goes outside and gossip with other aunties right?? but don't do that to that car, the car is innocent!! better sell to "besi buruk" than just dump it at the roadside!!

  10. Good for you.... There is always alot of 'junk' around --and most of the time, we just ignore it... It just grows and grows. You are right: We need to do something about it; do something to help the environment.... You did your part!!!!!! Thanks.

  18. poor cars....
They should have done something resourceful out of those junks instead of abandoning them somewhere

  19. or better yet, sell them to junk shops...that will give them extra money too...

  21. wow! i'm really envy you wife cause not need to iron and do you laundry. Beside that i'm curious why most of your reader like to leave more than one comment at the same time, which i think it can be compile all into one comment. Interesting behavior.

  22. scrapping it would be a good idea unless you wanna try remodelling it..thats if you have a passion about repairing :)

  23. Honest Abe - I fully agree with your wise comments. It made me ponder a while which countries have the best government in the world. I guess it is Hong Kong and Singapore.

William - They pay and haul mah! That is the standard trading procedure and I am talking from experience.

SK Thambee - You always make me laugh! I wonder why my own real brother makes me cry instead. I realised that life is too short and i dont wanna spend time doing laundry & ironing! My washing machine only washes my gym clothes and pyjamas etc. So Letchumi's hands are smooth like silk.

  24. Wenn - You also do know our country has so many abandoned cars, houses, shops and wives too! LOL... kekeke

Medie 007 - Our kereta sampah is so selective and they dont even want to collect felled trees or plants! So I have to cut into tiny pieces and tie in garbage bags! Malaysia Boleh!

Danny - You think DBKL got eyes to see it? The RED CAR has been there for almost 1 year!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bengbeng - All scraps and even used toilet rolls have value through recycling! I am thinking why the earth does not create all bio & recyclable products including cars, furnitures and houses?

Betsy - I can see that you are a clean and tidy person with all the flowers & Christmas decorations. It is sad that many countries outside United States are in serious deplorable stages. How sad!

BananaZ - I thought Kereta Potong takes any shells of the cars minus engines! No meh?... I suspect that car was stolen and dumped!

  26. Betsy - Many thanks for your compliments.. I thought I had talked too much as the other comments were all so short and sweet.

Suituapui - You should pamper your wife with a new car and free her from laundry! She should relax in the spa instead of washing, drying and ironing daily!

  27. FoongPC - I find that doing housework and laundry every week is a waste of time on weekends. We work so hard the whole week and just wish to relax on wknds but often got bogged down by chores. Better pay the cleaners to do it. I was embroiled in nonsensical stuffs that kept me away from blogging.

    I am back now PANDA!

Bluedreamer27 - Welcome to my blog! I have been reading your interesting and young posts too. I think there are lots of abandoned vehicles and wives in Philippines too! LOL

Anonymous - It started from some bloggers just for the sake of spamming but it has become a fun virus that makes us look silly. I also got infected too!

Vehicle Signage - Kenny Scott: I think many drivers are just being irresponsible to dump the cars everywhere. They should send them to you for beautiful modifications!
