A Fruitful Friendship

I believe that some friends are just like the durian fruits in my life. I had this thoughts after being invited by the blogger Simple Life or better known name "Kuku Bird" to feast on the Musang King Durians recently. He has been texting me out to Yum-Cha or have a cuppa with him over the months but I just could not find the right time and mood to meet him. He was so persistent and tried his luck to lure me with the Musang King durians treat instead! Bingo! I grabbed & went! We both ate them like hungry ghosts, forgetting all the volcanic spites in the past.

Why are friends like durians? I have some friends whose bodies stank real bad. Some had gifted provocative mouths like natural durian thorns outside but their hearts are actually kind & soft inside like durian flesh. The same goes with several thoughtless bloggers & facebookers who would rudely comment and speak without much thoughts which hurt many readers unintentionally. Best of all, they failed to see their own faults and have no qualms whatsoever! Have a heart please, our words could carry much weights that could offer encouragements, support and love or even kill our friends! Why do we need to hurt others if we cannot speak with kindness? So friends are comparable to durian fruits to me ~ Love It or Hate It.

.......We came, We Ate & He Paid.....

I appreciated the kindness of blogger Simple Life to treat me the best variety of durians sold at the stall in SS2. That's how he probably felt towards me, that the best favourite fruit for the best friend around. Awww!!! He is so sweet like longans! We both live pretty close to each other but our lifestyles have changed over the years. Now he is a dotting and caring family man with his new baby boy. I wish him all the best and look forward to many more durian treats in future. *wink *wink ~ *hint *hint

Yeah macam-macam in this world.. Love them or hate them.. Maybe love them and hate them.. Like the Chinese saying goes 'yau oi yau han' ..
Noone's perfect.. Even fingers got short and long.. Rome's not built in a day, so for a person to change, needs time also..
Friends come and go in our lives.. Good ones we keep and treasure.. One or a few is enuff.. Not so good friends, err, ignore lor. Got time then ma layan lor, if no time no layan lor, ada aku kisah? Hehe..
A good post you have here.. The world is like ice kacang, macam macam ada, campur together.. Or maybe follow your copyright. The world is a stage and we are only actors in it.. Our lives are an illusion only and if we see the good things on that person then its not so bad afterall.. Maybe will fall in love, who knows, teehee..

    1. You speak so well like an experienced lady who has seen all and been there. Kudos Princess Ribbon.
Life is just an illusion for us to be stage actors. So we better use the right scripts to speak to others so that everyone will be happy.

    2. yes, i agree with you that this is a very well written post, i especially like the part TM mentioned about "rudely comment and speak without much thoughts which hurt many readers unintentionally. Best of all, they failed to see their own faults and have no qualms whatsoever".. what TM said is so very true right, Princess Ribbon??

    3. I believe we all should reflect on what Anay wrote and think whether we have unintentionally or otherwise cause grief to others in our haste to comment and give opinions.

      Delete
    4. Of course, I am writing this post after observing and hearing from others about how people could write senseless comments these days.

      Delete
    5. Indeed Anay.

Sometimes it is interesting to see how some are callous enough not to realize how just a simple word from them can cause annoyance and heartache.

I wonder whether you will ignore them, Anay? Sometimes maybe it's for the best. Just like what Princess Ribbon mentioned. Just don't allocate any them for them. I bet they won't notice it also! *evil laugh*

    6. I won't get sleepless nights anymore at my age. When I was younger and had one ex-boss from Hong Kong had the most spiteful & filthy mouth that could kill anyone. His words were sharper than knife blades and that has numbed my nerves over the years.

These days, I still go over to comment and read their blogs & facebook. How to avoid them all when they can multiply like parasites and Ebola! Just arm myself with open mind and higher dosages of immunity pills will do. Bwahahahaha

    7. Yeah we know you well. You run on right tracks with right shoes and proper attire, so your speech is always wonderful too. A person's character often comes in a package. Some could be displayed and some needs to be sent to recycle shops.
