Words Of Wisdom

I have got a friend who always shared words of wisdoms in his Facebook like over 5 times daily. I like them all and would save the meaningful ones. What is funny about him is that he is a terrible hypocrite who doesn't practice what he preached. Now that's so typical of human beings, right? Never mind him, I will want to share a few random ones to wake up our senses.

I will only hang out with the right friends and no less.

 It happens to me!

I never want to live with regret, so I am a very determined fellow.

You and I know them too.

I wonder why the wars are erupting everywhere today.

Who said I am like this??

I wished I knew this long ago.

I always remind myself to blog righteously.

Happy Malaysia Day To You!!

  3. Truthfully, Anay... I never really look at these words of wisdom.

Dunno why. Maybe because I am too shallow to care much about being wise. Muahaha

    1. You are too busy to read them and moreover, you are so disciplined to exercise rigorously that you don't need quotes to move you to get a life.

  5. I think most of us know these words of wisdom, they are basically just common sense put in words. Problem is most of us do not practice what we know is good. Your friend, he sounds just like a politician, "I endorse these wisdom, you see I even share it on my FB wall!" while not practicing what he preach XD .

  6. Thank you for sharing those words of wisdom. It is never too late to know "never dream about success work for it" but then you and your spouse are already successful people.

Here's wishing both of you a Happy Malaysia Day!

Oh, I found the blog post you mentioned. Really nice moon cakes:

Your spouse is really such a capable person. She can do anything when she puts her mind to it.

  8. I like the second quote, I agree with it too, good times passes fast and when you are working, time seems to pass very slowly, wahaha

  9. there are just many people who are so used to clicking/tapping the LIKE or SHARE buttons on FB, they don't even care to know what they are actually liking or sharing dei.. that is why you see so many "interesting" updates flooding your newsfeed on FB, too overwhelmed by those generous likes and shares though i would say..

    1. thanks for sharing these words of wisdom!! yeah, they surely are nice words, inspiring and make us think.. but i have to be very frank also, i think of all these words of wisdom, there are actually less than 5% that i could remember, muahahaha!! me so bad, just read, and thought "wow, very witty quotes" but maybe hours later, i would have already forgotten i have read them before.. phiak my karipap head!!!

    2. or probably because my mind is too shallow to apprehend it.. i supposed these words of wisdom carry a larger than life meaning behind, probably i can just peel off the skin to understand the superficial meaning but not really what they centrally means.. you know, like you peel an onion, layer by layer?? it's easier to peel off the skin and the outer layer, but as you continue to peel and wanted to see its root and heart in the center, it's tougher because your eyes start to feel hurt..

    3. aiyoh, what is Thambee trying to say?? Anay, you can ignore the three comments above, all are CB comments from the CB mouth, muahahaha!!

  10. "An intelligent person will open your mind, a beautiful person will open your eyes, and a loving person will open your heart".. i will add on with.. a hamsap person will tear open your shirt!!! muahahahahaha~~ :D

"In bed it's 6am, you close your eyes for 5 minutes and it's 7:45am.. in work it's 1:30pm, you close your eyes for 5 minutes and it's 1:31pm".. and may i add on, you close your eyes for 5 years, and your salary is still the same!!! :D

"Life is short. Time is fast. No replay. No rewind. So enjoy every moment as it comes.".. and probably i'll add on, eat as many Cheesy Mutton Curry Chappati with Kampua as you may!!! :p

"The problem with closed minded people is that their mouth is always opened.".. so true!! and like we always commented on someone that even if he/she dies, his/her mouth is still moving!!! @_@"

  11. "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.".. so true and i totally agree with Dalai Lama.. similarly, if you don't have anything good to say, better don't say that.. unless you know the person you are talking to is Thambee who is fine with negative feedback, and not somebody who will defend all the way and try to destroy any evidence of negativity..

"If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don't, you will find an excuse.".. another one that i have to agree with.. there is always not something you call "no time" but something we call "no heart"..

"Never dream about success, work for it.".. i won't say "work for" in this case though, we still have to see our ability if we would be capable of, not "work for" as if your dream will control you, but "work towards" it so that you have a direction and you know what you are doing..

"Take care of your thoughts when you are alone. Take care of your words when you are with people.".. and also i will add on, take care of your action when you are alone or with people..

  12. Woot, cool post. I love all your quotes.. Realistic ones also got, funny ones also got.. I like all.. Actually I like the second and third one coz it's so true.. I close my eyes for 5 mins and *bam* I missed the time and almost late for work.. But at work, especially when I have a bad hair day, time seems to pass so slowly.. Gawd..
I also like this one: When there's a will, there's a way.. Very correct.. If I wana do something, I will do whatever it takes to get it done, even if it seems not right, just don't get caught.. haha..

    1. Psst, life is short, just do it.. Make it happen.. If you are dying inside to do that one thing, just do it.. If it's something not right, or 'cannot see the light' , it's either you just do it or give up.. I like to read these kinda quotes too when I'm down or when I can't think straight.. Most of time I just need some neutral source to kick in some sense into my brains, then I'll feel alright..

      Nice post.. I like!

    2. I turn to these quotes too when I'm confused.. There are so many Quotes Apps in the Playstore.. Love quotes got, Life quotes got, Emotional quotes got, Breakup quotes got, everything got..

When you are confused, or depressed, or can't think straight, and you can't tell anyone (because noone must know), these quotes surprisingly help a little..

Now you make me wana download some quotes from the apps store, teehee..

  17. The quote from the Dalai Lama is practically what I use as my moral compass in life. I used to practice the Golden Rule, to treat others the way I want to be treated. I go beyond my own needs to help other. But I find it too unrealistic and unsustainable (especially after I started working!). More often than not I have freeloaders trying to take advantage of me.

So now I try to help if I can. If I can't, then let it be but the least I can do it not to hurt others.

  18. Nice quotes. Yeah , agreed. With you moat people cannot practice what they preached. But then they are after all humans.

  19. These quotes are really meaningful and hit the nail right in the spot. My favorite? The one about closing your eyes for 5 minutes in bed and more than one hour has passed. Happened many times hah..hah...

  20. Agree with you... In FB, many put up quotes.. sometimes I read them.. and many times I skip! The problem is too many notifications... One day I might end up deleting my account and reopening one just for friends... at least I can keep track with their updates then..
Oh, sorry, I have digress... so what is the quote above that caught my eye.... This one.. Life is short... Yes, I agree.. Time is fast...yes, super fast.. 24 hours also not enough leh... No replay...only in my mind... No rewind... only in my dreams... So enjoy every moment as it comes... I really hope I will... treasure our moments with our love ones.. discard the sour... keep the sweet...

  22. Very meaningful quotes, if one can follow all then his life will be happy!

I love all especially the second one, happened to me all the time when I was still working last time, now, totally different, I feel that time flies everyday!

  25. nice quotes, i also like inspiring wisdom quotes but didn't really practice it lol

  26. Anay, out of all the quotes you shared here, I like your own words the most, as such "What is funny about him is that he is a terrible hypocrite who doesn't practice what he preached. Now that's so typical of human beings, right? " I know a friend like that too. Always sharing about Buddha and Buddhist Famous quotes, but..... having affair with someone wife, and he himself is a married man with 2 kids. Hate this type of hypocrite.

    1. I love reading those inspiring wisdom quotes too. But I seldom share it in my FB, I only like those which is true to me.

By the way, Anay, I am back from cruising. It is such a nice experience. I miss the food so much, especially the dessert like assorted cakes, yogurt, dim sum and white coffee. I am still tidying up my pictures, hopefully I will blog about my cruise trip soon.

  27. I like the first one, I'm still learning it!!

The second happens to me too, sigh...can the time pass faster if we want it to, but pass slower when we wish too??

Every moment in our life is like live to us, it kept on playing and playing non stop, there's no repeat, so we should take serious every moment, every second in our life!!

Hahahaha!! Now I know why certain people alway "mulut besar" talk so much!!

Yah, can't keep the promise so don't even make it, in the end it's just wordless!!

I believe this's true, when we want something, we'll try our best to get it no matter what, but if something we don't want, even the weather also can be one of our excuse lo!!

I understand it, that's I don't talk first, I plan then work, if it's on going the process then I only mention about it!!

I can take of my thoughts, but take care of words, that's really I need to learn and putting efforts on!! =]

I 10xxx like this post duh!!!
