Beware of Bad Feng Shui

What is a saw? We know that it's an iron tool with sharp teeth that could slice wood into halves! I have a true story to share as I am a firm believer of Feng Shui and you can call me Superstitious Aunty!

We should avoid sleeping or sitting too close to the open-styled or exposed stair cases. We should place our beds or living/dining room chairs away from them.

This is the actual photo of the staircase in the factory where I work. It leads up to the office area where all the bosses, staff and myself sit daily. We have a very crammed office with almost 20 persons squeezing inside a sardine can! My Dato boss decided to add tables and chairs below the stairs for his very favourite right hand man and left hand man to sit.

I protested fiercely that it would be a disaster as the stairs resembled the saw! It would slice the person's spiritual well being. It fell on deaf ears!

Damage of this bad Feng Shui in less than 60 days: The right hand man screwed up a very big project case in Johor resulting in a legal suit and affected the left hand man so badly. Both of them had a series of headaches and the boss' favourite right hand man has resigned. Now the left hand man has health issues to tackle suddenly. Didn't I warn everyone before? Now one has lost his job and the other is nursing his health. Feng Shui is all about science today yet many labelled it as mere superstitions.

    1. Thanks for dropping by. I noticed many temples and houses in Japan were also built in accordance with good feng shui shapes and elements. It seems to be a global practise.

  2. Hello and good night everyone.. Interesting wor today's topic.. Feng shui.. I believe in it too but I was told if life is good and you mess (half pail water) with feng shui, then life will really become not good..
I once place a jar of water according to my direction on 'something', I didnt get what I wanted and at the same time my sons got sick.. Hmm, maybe coincidence only. But I do believe in feng shui la.. I was tempted the other day to place a jar of water again but afraid bad things will happen again, hmmmmm...

    1. I do believe that if we know the exact location for the water placement, it could bring heaps of benefits. My brother's sifu told him to place a small water fountain beside his door entrance and that brought him so much business until he hardly comes home now.

    2. Hardly comes home is not good for his family wor if he has a family so that is the con lah.

  4. oh, the staircase is indeed a saw from the angle you showed us in the first photo!! i have never thought of the resemblance of staircase edge to a saw!! Anay you are so observant.. i guess this type of staircase is probably those modern contemporary designer ideas, which probably have not put in fengshui considerations in their designs.. so, it will be good to seal the sides of the staircase huh?? how about those stairs that are not solid but those with just a plank on the frames, you know what i'm trying to say ah?? hahahaha..

    Examples:
    1. No good??
    2. Good??
    3. Good or no good??

    1. Anay should give examples what are good stairs and what are not good stairs.. or you actually wanted to say all stairs are not good??

    2. The stairs that look like saw will saw the human's spirit, soul and well being. We should cover the steps side ways with cement or even hide the stairs la. Better be safe than sorry.
Those modern stairs without railings may look nice but could bring disasters sometimes. We should not sit or sleep too near to it.

  5. so scary to hear about what happened to your boss's left hand man and right hand man.. so when both of them are gone, i guess the problems are sure passed down to Anay since Anay is the next right hand man of your boss?? no wonder Anay has been so busy like a bee running here and there to help the boss to solve his problems!! adui~~

  6. I like to read about feng shui but I didn't know about the 'saw'. I only know that the toilet shouldn't be placed above the main door. That's why I close the main door and use the sliding door instead.

    1. The Feng Shui theories is infinite and no books could cover all except the masters could learn the steps to apply in all situations. You are wise to change the door!

  7. I only know mirror should not placed in front of a door, a TV should not place in front of a bed cos the TV will absorb the human spirit and also office workstation should not have a pillar in front of it, I also believe in fengshui as there are some logic in it, not totally superstitions..

    1. This is so true that we should not sleep and face any reflections or doors. We should also avoid pillars behind us in the office and avoid sitting under the beams across the ceilings.

  9. I do believe in feng shui but if you want to do it, have to do it properly. You can't just do one or two things here and there and expect it to work. It is serious stuff. Some of it have logic. In fact when I look at the sitting position you show above, it can't be comfortable. Energy flow can't be good like that.

    1. Yes I agree that we need to study the whole big picture to check the energy flow as well as our birth dates sometimes. I would suggest that one should hire a qualified feng shui master to advise. Just a one time service could bring a lifetime of rewards!
The staircase theory in my office is common sense but there are morons in my company who don't believe.

    1. Well much of the feng shui matters revolve around common sense at home and at work.

  13. WTF! Feng shui or not, sitting with the back facing staircase? The kik-kok-kik-kok noise when people go up and down, and the lack of privacy, those 2 factors alone will be enough to drive people crazy and resign lah. Dumb bosses not to see that..
I think we need to listen to the more modern feng shui talks, most of the new age feng shui masters use simple language when giving advice, when you can understand it then you will realize they are all logic and scientific.

  16. I believe feng shui is just common sense. Sitting at the places in your photo will kena all the dusts from people walking up and down the stairs. How to work like that?

    1. I agree that it is all about common sense but not all have such good instincts and common sense. That's why many have to sought the services of professional experts for guidance to tap the good energy directions.

  17. Ouch an interesting sore wind water post. Guess karma would also play its part which contributed together with the bad wind water. Who else is sitting there now after the left & right man got into trouble? Perhaps it would be even more 'true' for any two new person to test but doubt people will take such risk unless they are not aware of the danger.

I really agree that karma plays a big part sometimes. So far only the left hand man sits there. I forbid my right hand man from sitting there.

  20. Hello There, I enjoyed your post today although I'll admit that I don't know enough about it to express a thought or opinion... Guess I need to learn more first... ha

Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. I do try to read blogs—but just haven’t commented very much lately like I usually try to do. Please don’t give up on me. Hopefully my life will be back to ‘normal’— whatever that is (ha), sometime in January.

I did get a cortisone shot in my knee —which has helped with the pain somewhat. In January, I will most likely have meniscus tear surgery…. BUT—in the meantime, I plan to have a fantastic Christmas —and hopefully get to see my kids/grands… God is Good.

    Hugs,
    Betsy
