Getting Married Again

Today I had to visit the Embassy of Republic of Colombia to make enquiries for my good friend's marriage plans. She was a former Miss Malaysia who resides in London and runs an upscale hair salon in the swanky hubs of Chelsea, where the well heeled bitchy ladies in mink furs with lap poodles are her clients. Christine is getting married again and her new South American beau is a very muscular hunk with the tanned good looks that could star in any pornographic movies! She has given me a big nerve wrecking task which has driven me up the walls for days.

The embassy was closed for lunch.
So I went to get something light to bite.

OMG!
Just one small Mushroom Pie with Iced Lemon Tea.
Costs RM20.40!
My poor heart aches!

At 2:00pm, I entered the Embassy Of Colombia and
laid out the hassles faced by the former beauty queen.
In Colombia, the registry of marriage office requires
a foreigner like her to show proof a certified copy of
Malaysian Birth Certificate which has been translated
into Spanish language. The translated birth cert has to
carry a prior approval with chop by Wisma Putra and the
Embassy of Colombia in Kuala Lumpur.
After that, the copy needs to be sent to the Malaysian
High Commission in London to be stamped
with "Apostille" verification before they can
be proclaimed as Man & Wife in Bogota.

Before today, I had gone to the Consular Office at
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya to seek
advice which were incomplete as they are not aware
of the Colombian marriage law & order.

So next step, I need to get the original birth certificate
from Christine in London and get a Commissioner
of Oaths to certify a true copy before going to
a Spanish translator! This translator must be
recognized by Wisma Putra and it is in Wangsa Maju.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!
After Wangsa Maju, I have to go to Wisma Putra in Putrajaya
again to get stamped approval before heading to the
Embassy of Colombia for another stamp approval.
This is definitely a great pain in my ass to help a friend
to get married again!!!
My ass is oozing pails of blood now.

I came out of the embassy in 20 minutes and
saw this fabulous view of KL's skyline
from the 28th Floor of Menara UOA.

I was shocked to see my Facebook Napkin had gone viral
 overseas in 30 minutes!!
I just simply posted the above photo that said:
"Even the napkin could speak politics to me..."

  1. Time to come clean blends in nicely with the sentence even the napkin could speak politics to me, who is the one so brilliant to think of the sentence? You, TM?

    1. Ahem! It was mine of course. Our country's political turmoil is making everyone tired and watching dramas now. How I wish our govt can rule like your republic's!!

    2. There might be a lot of Singaporeans who will slap you for thinking their republic is run well. Some of my Singaporean friends think (I agree) that both PMs have been good abang adik and learning all the "good stuff" from each other..

    3. I still think their republic is well run with their strong currency and good system. What is so good about ours, I just wonder? I am so sick and tired that I refused to read more nonsense news.

    4. I mean "good" stuff, not good stuff. Stuff like how to lie blatantly to the public with a straight face, how to phrase their statements to piss people off but at the same time make them speechless, that kind of thing. And then also how they also import foreigners to deprive their own people of jobs (although Malaysians are part of this pool of foreigners)... you know, this kind of "good" stuff..

I don't know, maybe it is the blogs and websites that I read, but it seems there are more and more Singaporeans that are unhappy with their own govt as well...

  2. Wah, you very good friend, can help your gal friend to settle all the thingy at the embassy.. Getting married to a Malaysian? Yeah, I know there are many paperwork to be done if you are living in overseas, and getting married to a Malaysian and vice versa..

    1. My Malaysian friend will marry a South American and his native country just wanted her birth certificate to register. Unfortunately ours is English & BM which they only understand Spanish. So to get it translated, I am running around like a headless chicken to get it approved by so many parties after being translated.
So so so maaaa faaan! Adoi!

    1. It is surely a stupid hassle that is driving me up the walls over just making a translated and legally approved birth certificate that made our blood pressures ran high with so many KL - London calls made.

I am not asking for anything in return but just hope for her to get married happily.

Come visit Kuala Lumpur where the skyline looks fabulous with differently designed buildings that make a good panoramic picture.

  9. When I read your blog title, I thought this Anay is hamsap, so fast married again with his mistress when Letchumy is still enjoying in US with his two Japanese ex-girl friends. Hehehe! Just kidding la! You are talking about your ex Miss Malaysia girl friend in London getting married again eh! Hehehe! My mind never comes clean just like our politics la!

    1. Yeah only hamsap readers might think hamsap like me(?) Wakakakaaka
Good friends are precious lah and we have to ride the waves of high & low tides without conditions with them and for them. Hope she will have a better marriage that could end the story like "Lived happily ever after"........

  10. wow, Anay was running errands for his good friend like a headless chicken running from the south to the north and then from the east to the west of Klang Valley, all during his working time!!! and that's for his very good friend the former Miss Malaysia, what a great friend he is!!!

the procedure is so troublesome and one gotta go many places to get a document done.. hmmm, birth certificate huh?? if the passport will just do, I guess your friend would have already get it done in London, which I believe things are done in a way more efficient manner than over here..

anyway, congratulations to your friend who is getting married again.. I guess your title for the post is surely attracting readerships, smart Anay!! many would be shocked when they see the post title in their blog roll and quickly click on to see what's happening while Letchumy is still in US.. only to find out it is your good friend and not you!! phew, relief~~ :D

so Anay has got a glimpse of the KLCC area from the 28th floor of Menara UOA Jalan Pinang.. upscale CBD dei, and that small little tart which is smaller than a coconut tart with that cup of iced tea for over RM20!! OMG, the price must be fluctuating with RM in the market.. Anay better go claim all these expenses from your friend in London, which is just less than £5 that she probably could drop anything without realizing.. xD

Anay has always got so many friends and followers and supporters dei.. no shock if you post something and then get millions of response and share and like like PSY uploaded his new song to YouTube.. anyway, the words on that napkin are truly witty and comes right on the dot!! cool~~

    1. Eh! I noticed today that this post attracted comments from few speed readers and mata sepet bloggers too. Where got KLCC dei?? You made me stare so hard to find the KLCC building. Yengga Poreng Ngeh KLCC dei???

I know I wrote in a tongue twisted manner cos that was how the whole matter twisted my brains. I didn't even realise that I ran like headless chicken until you pointed out to me!! The story is so simple actually. My Malaysian friend will marry a South American and his native country just wanted her birth certificate to register. Unfortunately ours is English & BM which they only understand Spanish. So to get it translated, I am running around to get it approved by so many parties after being translated. After that need to get the copy verified by Apostille.

    1. You should know me by now as a transparent blogger who reveals everything including the size of your under wear! Try to google harder and see whether you got the right beauty queen.

How I wish she has the kind heart to sponsor my trip as without me, her wedding may not take place so soon as it is a Top Secret.
