My Spring Break

My Honey & I will be away tomorrow for my much awaited trip to climb the big mountains again in China. This time we will visit Shanghai for a few days, making short trips to nearby spots & the ancient Wuzhen Village by the canals. It has been my lifelong dreams to walk along the tiny lanes and bridges to admire the laid back lifestyles. Probably I will join the local folks to sip Chinese tea and play Chinese Chess under the Pine Trees. How nice!

From there, we will both take a bullet train to Nanking to look see before staying around the cool mountains at Jiuhuashan in Anhui Province. I heard there are 99 peaks to climb with many interesting temples there. I will pray for the well being of all the bloggers, silent readers and the coming GE13!

Our last leg of the trip will be back to Shanghai again for another 2 nights and I hope to board a boat to another town to climb the Putuoshan where the Goddess Guan Yin Bodhisattva's statue is.

Until then, please keep blogging and I will be visiting your blogs!

(My special thanks to Bloggers Kuan Chuen & TZ for giving me valuable tips about Shanghai)

    4. i'm just wondering if Anay is able to access Facebook and Blogspot in China as i heard the officials actually block them within the nation!! you gotta ask around how the people there find loopholes to access these sites~~ :p

    5. Thanks my sweet SK Thambee! You are right that Letchumi wishes to climb that mounatins, so Anay just planned a bit lah.

You scared me about Nanjing Road's pick pockets! I will tie my wallet inside my underwear!

Last time, I could watsap and facebooked in Xian but not blogspot.

  7. Call me a banana but I would rather spend my vacation in some non-Asian place. Sibu is Chinese enough as it is - no need for more.

    1. Yeah you big banana! LOL. Sibu and Malaysia are no where close to China, so I like it there very much. I have lived in US long enough and visited the whole USA besides Canada & UK. Enough of Mat Sallehs lah.

      Delete
    2. aiyo this Mat Salleh wannabe, don't say like that lah.. Sibu is Chinese enough?? come on, don't assume you've seen it all.. don't live with prejudice, open you mind and open your eyes and open your heart to see the GREATER CHINA out there.. I am sure you will be amazed and overwhelmed by how big the world is when you step foot in that piece of land, really!! no joke at all, hahaha.. *wink wink* :D

    3. What a wise remarks from SK. I agree that we should not live in prejudice and try all kinds of food & enjoy all cultures. China has got such a rich, colourful and lomg history that always amazed me. Well, if one is too heavy, China will be tough as plenty of walking is necessary.

      Delete
    4. I never care about going to Mat Salleh places also. Only been to mainland China once and HK... tho. ;p

    5. Lina I also dream of going to Africa and India. Anay Gila.

    6. Actually, Sibu is a twin city with some place in China - but the YB had already died, the party has not been doing so well....those in the left wing taking over not bothered to continue those diplomatic connections so I guess it has died a natural death. Real sad.
