My Honey & I will be away tomorrow for my much awaited trip to climb the big mountains again in China. This time we will visit Shanghai for a few days, making short trips to nearby spots & the ancient Wuzhen Village by the canals. It has been my lifelong dreams to walk along the tiny lanes and bridges to admire the laid back lifestyles. Probably I will join the local folks to sip Chinese tea and play Chinese Chess under the Pine Trees. How nice!
From there, we will both take a bullet train to Nanking to look see before staying around the cool mountains at Jiuhuashan in Anhui Province. I heard there are 99 peaks to climb with many interesting temples there. I will pray for the well being of all the bloggers, silent readers and the coming GE13!
Our last leg of the trip will be back to Shanghai again for another 2 nights and I hope to board a boat to another town to climb the Putuoshan where the Goddess Guan Yin Bodhisattva's statue is.
Until then, please keep blogging and I will be visiting your blogs!
(My special thanks to Bloggers Kuan Chuen & TZ for giving me valuable tips about Shanghai)
Nice, I haven't been to Shanghai!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you will visit there soon!
DeleteHave a pleasant trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks heaps William boy!
DeleteSafe travel, Anay!
ReplyDeleteyeah I will be safe! Xie Xie Nee!
DeleteWork those legs muscles! Hope they'll be as strong as a horse after your trip! wakaka
ReplyDeleteI wish I could borrow your horse legs! LOL
DeleteTake lots of photos and put up at least 20 posts when you come back. wokay!
ReplyDeletecheh, you think Anay is the Panda or the Food Mayor meh?? :D
DeleteMuahahahaha! Annay will put 20 photos in a post la. Not split them into 20 posts.
DeleteThis one I agree.
DeleteJapan is too expensive, I will drop it my wish list of travelling. Shanghai will take over its place in my wish list now.
SO, your posts later will be my guide line.
Wakakakaka! Please, I can never bring myself to post 20 times! Ah Hua knows how I will post. Kikikiki...
DeleteYannie, my boss just came back from Japan and he didn;t really enjoy! WTF boss.
Anay must use Thambee's click-through photo album or the slideshow scripts in your next posts sharing your photos!! so simple even the kuku bird has used it before, don't tell me you are worse than him!! :D
DeleteOkay sure Thambee...I will use your slide show template when I come back! I am no kuku bird.
Deletewei...dont 20 photos in one post ah...later too long dont know what to comment leh...hmmm use slide show very good also....easy for us...no need to scrol...lazy :p
Deletewow, finally Anay is all ready to go to Shanghai.. i always mistaken Anay is going to Shanghai last week, hahaha, my bad my bad!!
ReplyDeletei went to Shanghai once in May 2007 and it was a nice place, albeit i was picked-pocket along Nanjing Road.. anyway that didn't spoil my mood much, i took that easy and continue to enjoy my trip with my trip partner as well as friends who are working there..
Deletenice, i always love Anay's itinerary (i supposed Letchumi is the one who planned all those?? haha), always doing something different and healthy, and trying to experience the culture as much.. awesome!!
Deletehave a safe and awesome trip Anay!! i am sure you will enjoy your trip and have eye-opening encounters sipping tea and playing chinese chess under the pine trees.. come back and share with us your stories, and also photos of Anay chasing Letchumi around the pine trees!! :D
Deletei'm just wondering if Anay is able to access Facebook and Blogspot in China as i heard the officials actually block them within the nation!! you gotta ask around how the people there find loopholes to access these sites~~ :p
DeleteThanks my sweet SK Thambee! You are right that Letchumi wishes to climb that mounatins, so Anay just planned a bit lah.
DeleteYou scared me about Nanjing Road's pick pockets! I will tie my wallet inside my underwear!
Last time, I could watsap and facebooked in Xian but not blogspot.
actually my bad lah, i placed my wallet in the front pocket of my sling bag, so easily to be picked-pocket lor.. luckily my passport and the bigger sum of cash were kept deep inside the compartment of my bag.. well, never mind lah, i just went to lodge a report at the police station and continue enjoying my holiday.. came back and claim it back from my travel insurance~~ :p
DeleteTouch wood! Touch Thambee's head! Anay will be safe!!! Wakakakaka
DeleteI haven't been to Shanghai. Only been to Beijing and Shenzhen. Maybe I might go next time.
ReplyDeleteGoing to China is very cheap and faster than Europe. That is why i keep going there! ha ha!
DeleteMy parents in law love going to China, it's cheap and the scenery is beautiful. They go there annually, haha!
DeleteI think I am getting old and behving like your PILs. I already know my next destinations - Dunhuang and Urumqi.
DeleteDunhuang and Urumqi!! awesome!! they are part of the Silk Road!! i think if not because of Letchumi, Anay wouldn't have thought of going to such places~~
DeleteYeah you pandai....I wouldn't know all these places. I plan to cover entire Silk Road by instalments. I started from Xian and still long way.
Deletehave a safe trip and wonderful journey~ =D
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr Lonely. I hope you will get married soon and end your loneliness.
DeleteCall me a banana but I would rather spend my vacation in some non-Asian place. Sibu is Chinese enough as it is - no need for more.
ReplyDeleteYeah you big banana! LOL. Sibu and Malaysia are no where close to China, so I like it there very much. I have lived in US long enough and visited the whole USA besides Canada & UK. Enough of Mat Sallehs lah.
Deleteaiyo this Mat Salleh wannabe, don't say like that lah.. Sibu is Chinese enough?? come on, don't assume you've seen it all.. don't live with prejudice, open you mind and open your eyes and open your heart to see the GREATER CHINA out there.. I am sure you will be amazed and overwhelmed by how big the world is when you step foot in that piece of land, really!! no joke at all, hahaha.. *wink wink* :D
DeleteWhat a wise remarks from SK. I agree that we should not live in prejudice and try all kinds of food & enjoy all cultures. China has got such a rich, colourful and lomg history that always amazed me. Well, if one is too heavy, China will be tough as plenty of walking is necessary.
DeleteI never care about going to Mat Salleh places also. Only been to mainland China once and HK... tho. ;p
DeleteLina I also dream of going to Africa and India. Anay Gila.
DeleteActually, Sibu is a twin city with some place in China - but the YB had already died, the party has not been doing so well....those in the left wing taking over not bothered to continue those diplomatic connections so I guess it has died a natural death. Real sad.
Deletewow.. that was one unwinding and at the same time romantic China trip...
ReplyDeleteChina can be romantic too esp in the cool mountains!
Deletewill look forward to your photos about this adventure cheers!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you look forward to my photos? How nice!
DeletePlease don't be another Kuku Bird SP who talks craps.
have you been to Great Walls? errr that's the only land mark i know from China LOL
ReplyDeleteI went to Great Wall back in year 2002. It was an eye opener!
DeleteNever been to Shanghai before, wish to visit this wonderful city as well as Beijing. I've only been to whatever places in between GuangZhou and Shenzhen :p
ReplyDeleteYou made me google the map just now - to check what places are located in between Guangzhou and Shenzhen. LOL
DeleteLOL, I googled it after annay googled it, too. I can't remember the places, my Mandarin is poor and the tour guide spoke in a very strong Chinese accent.
DeleteHave a wonderful and safe trip, annay!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind wishes! Everyone mentioned "Safe Trip" and got me worried, so I quickly bought travel insurance online!!!! I forgot to buy insurance during my hike in Huashan and Letchumi fell down once!!
DeleteAnay, enjoy your trip and have a safe flight. Take more pictures, if see Bosco again, you know what to do la!
ReplyDeleteMuahahahaha! If I see Bosco, I will collect his water for Yannie. If I see Mr.D, I will ask him why he made Leslie depressed?? Yannie wants Mr.D's water???
DeleteI don't want Mr.D's water la! Pui..Geli.
DeleteHey Yannie, what is Mr.D's full name? I don't even recall how he looks or what he does!! How come Leslie got attracted to him.
DeleteDaffy Tong 唐鶴德.. you can google for his photo, actually i think he is a good-looking man lah, so matching with Leslie.. :)
DeleteI just Google his Daffy face....mana handsome dia??? Leslie much better.
DeleteEnjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteThank you Choi Yen
