Having Fun @ KLIA 2 (UPDATED)

It was a jolly Saturday night and we had a small surprise birthday dinner for my wife
at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur.

1. It was a memorable night for her with the good company and delicious food.
The chefs and F&B service were also excellent and very professional
to please any fussy guests. Go check it out please!

2. We decided to head to the much heard about "KLIA2" airport after dinner,
to try out her birthday present. It is the latest mini DLSR Lumix GM1 which is mirrorless!
Here, I was doing SK's famous Usain Bolt pose!
Show Off! Nice? Any Ratings?

3. This KLIA2 entrance statement is a nice remembrance for any traveler!
I love this new airport and was glad to check it out at near midnight when
the crowd was much lesser.

4. The whole interior looks huge, modern and well designed with spacious layout
plus sufficient signs to direct everyone.

5. The information counter looks hi-tech and nice too!
I was so proud to see their friendly and professional services offered with a broad smile.

 6. This is best thing! I came to check the location of the KLIA Express Train's platform inside
this new airport. The location is a breeze & convenient to walk up to the check-in counters!

 7. Plenty of nice benches to sit while waiting for the trains to arrive.
So many trendy shops to lure shoppers too!

 8. LOOK! There is a BIG HOLE!

9. There are so many flights landing and taking off within minutes!
This airport is ready to handle the big crowds.

 10. I have not seen any check-in counters that looks so interesting and colourful.
It really makes the long wait less stressful.

11. My favourite shop!!! They close at 12:00 midnight! Hooray!

 12. A beautiful concept of our local culture! Nice isn't it?

13. So many other cafes line along the arcades to choose!

 14. This is my preferred choice. It is cheap and the kopi gao will keep me awake!

 15. My all time favourite cookies shop. I can munch a whole bag during long flights!

 16. They have so many nicely wrapped gifts of cookies & choclates!
Hint*  Hint*  Hint*

17. This cafe really impressed me. I love their design concept which is very unique.
They look like old fashioned check-in counters.

18. They have separate dining areas for coffee & cakes with very relaxing stools.
Are they not awesome and pretty to sit?? Old vintage suitcases! I want to steal one home!

19. If you need to laze and have a quiet moment. These benches with green plants
will soothe your mind.

 20. It was past midnight and many passengers slept everywhere with blankets &
sarongs covering their heads. Their flights were early mornings, so they
took cheaper public transport before midnight to reach there.

21. You can sleep anywhere and no one cares!
Have A Safe Flight Everyone!

A Fruitful Friendship

I believe that some friends are just like the durian fruits in my life. I had this thoughts after being invited by the blogger Simple Life or better known name "Kuku Bird" to feast on the Musang King Durians recently. He has been texting me out to Yum-Cha or have a cuppa with him over the months but I just could not find the right time and mood to meet him. He was so persistent and tried his luck to lure me with the Musang King durians treat instead! Bingo! I grabbed & went! We both ate them like hungry ghosts, forgetting all the volcanic spites in the past.

Why are friends like durians? I have some friends whose bodies stank real bad. Some had gifted provocative mouths like natural durian thorns outside but their hearts are actually kind & soft inside like durian flesh. The same goes with several thoughtless bloggers & facebookers who would rudely comment and speak without much thoughts which hurt many readers unintentionally. Best of all, they failed to see their own faults and have no qualms whatsoever! Have a heart please, our words could carry much weights that could offer encouragements, support and love or even kill our friends! Why do we need to hurt others if we cannot speak with kindness? So friends are comparable to durian fruits to me ~ Love It or Hate It.

.......We came, We Ate & He Paid.....

I appreciated the kindness of blogger Simple Life to treat me the best variety of durians sold at the stall in SS2. That's how he probably felt towards me, that the best favourite fruit for the best friend around. Awww!!! He is so sweet like longans! We both live pretty close to each other but our lifestyles have changed over the years. Now he is a dotting and caring family man with his new baby boy. I wish him all the best and look forward to many more durian treats in future. *wink *wink ~ *hint *hint

Help The Victims Of War

The many senseless wars seem to have just begun as I could see no end to them. I have seen enough gory photos of blood, death and beheadings in the Facebooks and TV news until I closed my FB & switched TV channels for days. I felt so sad and helpless to see the sufferings while I could not do much except to pray for peace to mankind again. I wanted to cry for the orphans, lost families, injured victims and hundreds of thousands homeless people fleeing their homes and country.
This MUST STOP!

By chance, I saw in the community facebook posted by one kind soul - Syed Azmi who is a well known voice in my area who would always raise funds, help and create awareness to alert the whole community. Even lost and injured kittens would not pass his eyes. Syed Azmi would do anything to help any beings! I always felt he is an angel sent from heavens to wake us up. He posted an appeal to collect any winter jackets, coats, warm blankets, coats, gloves and even teddy bears to be sent to homeless victims in Syria via the SyriaCare. He kindly offered his parent's lovely house above to become the collection centre.

I immediately sprang into action and pleaded with my wife and friends to donate away all their jackets, sweaters and gloves scarfs to help. We have excuse to give away now and buy new ones in future. A small help goes a long way to keep the victims warm during the coming Winter months which starts getting cold in early November! All the Makciks, Datuks, Mak Datins and neighbours love Syed Azmi! They gave everything they had including high end winter coats, branded blankets and almost everything from home.

Everyone had the same spirit and goals to help the victims in Syria. They came in cars and trucks to unload their donations besides chipping in their time to help to sort, pack and send them to Syria. It was a beautiful feeling to see the spirit and goods pouring in between 3pm to 6pm.

These muscular men came in their trucks to help load up and send them all to Syria.

The next time you see anyone appealing for help, please do something and don't ignore when your little time & small help could bring mountains of happiness & hope to the victims of war.

The above victims are all our brothers and sisters who are suffering out there in the war torn countries. They are living in greatest fear and immense pain from their bodily injuries & the loss of loved ones who were brutally killed. Over here, we are all still enjoying ice cream, sunny weathers, shopping and reading Blogs & Facebook. Do something in anyway we can to help.

Please remember them all in our prayers too.

My New Balance Lifestyle

During my younger days in Penang, I loved to go fishing often by the rocky beach, riding Yamaha Enduro scrambler bikes, racing cars and clubbing till wee hours! I sure sounded like a heinous wild animal but who cares?! I had my share of many road bike accidents and falling into the sea during fishing which had scarred many parts of my bones & body. I must confess that I was always wearing my cheap Japanese slippers which was a terrible mistake in making me to slip & fall easily.

I started to invest in good and proper shoes with excellent soles when I lived in US where their 4 Seasons climate requires you to be well covered from head to toes. My American friends taught me about the importance of buying good shoes that would be comfortable besides keeping my feet warm & steady during the cold days where the roads and paths would be icy & slippery. Honestly, I only heard of New Balance shoes for the first time when I saw many American students wore them in college. This reliable brand has long been popular and was founded way back during the early 20th century in Boston.

My lifestyle has changed over the years after moving to start my career in KL. My heart is no longer brave to fish on the rocks or go racing on bikes anymore. My hobbies are now blogging, traveling, collecting antiques & hitting the gym! I love my gyms where they have nice equipments, lounges, reading materials and free juice bars! So many strong minded members go there to exercise daily and that motivates me too! Without them, I might rot at home like a potato in front of the television.

I love this motivating words on their walls!

Taking care of my health is very important especially I have a busy schedule five days a week and have plenty of errands to do on the weekends. But finding a time to exercise and taking care of my health is crucial for the long run. We should try squeezing some of our time for a little jog around the park or spending an hour working out at the gym. People work out in order to feel comfortable in their skin and lead an energetic life overall.

My lovely feet and my NB shoes!

I have several pairs of different brands of sports shoes that would be worn at different gyms but this pair of New Balance has been my favourite for many years now! It is still in tip top condition after running in few races! However, finding the perfect sports shoes might be the issue for some as comfortable footwear during sports activity is a must. The wrong shoes may hurt your feet after a while as a thin padding will not provide you with good support and comfort.

That's me and I was running like Usain Bolt.

New Balance sleek and trendy design will surely give you a boost of confidence working out and the padding provides great support for whole body especially during my runs on the treadmills.

Can you spot me inside the class?

Men and women can flash their New Balance shoes at the above gym workout sessions where all eyes would be looking at what colourful shoes & attire being worn by other members. Who says you can’t look stylish with sneakers? The shoes from New Balance will definitely perk up your sports outfit in the slightest way possible. Wait no more and own a pair now by visiting Zalora’s website today. The online shopping website offers its customers a wide range of New Balance sneakers online at a very reasonable price.
