Good Breakfast & Walk In Singapore

We always loved to visit Singapore anytime as this Lion City is very safe and spotlessly clean with neat looking boulevards that line up the trendiest homes and prominent landmark buildings. You could also marvel at the abundance of greens with plentiful of well trimmed old shady trees and forest reserves everywhere. No wonder the temperature was 36 DEGREES CELSIUS yet it was not hot at all. Our trip was quite a rush to visit 2 very sick uncles and meet up with my wife's childhood friends. Everyone was so nice and overfed us with so much delicious food until I put on 2 kilos in 2 days. No kidding!

This beautiful couple, Steve & Samantha Hou are long time personnel heads attached to the Singapore's Carlton and Resort's World Hotels, so they know what exactly is fabulous breakfasts, lunch and dinner. They suggested that we must try the very famous New York's chic restaurant that has made its way across the Atlantic to Singapore. The chef husband & wife founders have won waves of US and International recognition, with New York Magazine voting twice for their Best Blueberry Pancakes.

| 1. Brioche French Toast with Bananas & Pecans |
| 2. Spanish Scramble | 3. Coffee Latte | 4. Eggs Benedict |
| 5. Pancakes With Warm Maple Butter & Fresh Blueberries |

My yummilicious choice breakfast:
| Farmer's Plate |
Thank you very much Steve & Samantha - We Luv Ya!!

We parted after our good & satisfying breakfast with juicy gossips.
We caught up with my wife's aunt and took the much needed
long walk to burn away all my belly fats.

Purvis Street is lovely with the well preserved Chinese heritage
buildings.

The Raffles Hotel Singapore at Beach Road.

 Pretty sidewalk along Raffles Hotel.

The majestic architecture of the Singapore Art Museum
along Bras Basah Road.

Look at the huge & old beautiful tree standing outside
SOTA Singapore School Of The Arts,
facing Zubir Said Drive.

Our walk ended at the curio and chic shop at
Plaza Singapura @ Orchard Road.

My Own Verdict:
500 Calories Burnt.

  5. Everything looks pretty neat there, and having chef couple as friends, I hope they served best to your taste buds. The white heritage building looks wonderful and I also liked the way they allowed to the old tree to grow rather cutting off.

  6. Your no. 4 (eggs benedict) looks very different from the ones here...this one looks almost like a rolled up omelette...hehe! ;D What a great way to burn off 500 calories (your verdict!) by taking in the lovely sights. At the end of your walk, if you had continued with some shopping at Plaza Singapura, you would have burnt off another 500 calories (my estimate!)...kekeke! :D

    1. Now I think I could have made a mistake on the menu's name. I kinda agree that it doesn't look like Eggs Benedict. Help me! LOL

You are right. I could have burnt more calories inside Plaza Singapura but we plonked into the sofas at Starbucks.

  21. I love Singapore too. Have been going there several times the past few years and each time we MUST visit Universal Studio (for the boys lah). The last we were there was January this year. My boys are pestering us to go again but I told them we can't afford it anymore as our RM is worthless against their Spore dollar now :(
