The Worst Airlines In The World?

I was too outraged to see the recent videos of the passenger being yanked out of his seat. It disturbed my head for 2 days that such horrific services happened at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. I felt sad that I have been praising this airline as the best for the last 2 decades to everyone I knew. I remembered that as a young student, I flew by United Airlines to America and filled their questionaire forms praising their services to the skies besides the spacious leg room for a 6 footer and served exemplary good meals all the way.

I have flown by different United's aircrafts to Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Chicago and Philadelphia. Every semester break I would go for short trips across the country and had flown by Northwest Airlines, US-Air, Delta, Trans World (TWA) and British Airways. Yet, I still personally voted United as the best. So you could understand the shock I had. Maybe I should sue them for giving me shocks, sleepless nights and horrific visions at work. LOLOL

I had seen many incidents of very rude passengers on board several airlines especially AA and China's planes. Their manners, demands and tone of voice were so unspeakable towards the cabin's crew. At the same time I also saw very few cases of the air hostesses being rude to me and I just blamed their bad days or "Aunty Visit". Like it or not, this is a service industry where "the customer is always right" policy applies after having paid big sums of cash to fly.

I just watched an online US news where the TV host lambasted that there was NO OVERBOOKING that occurred. The fact was simple that the whole plane was just full and no overbooking took place. The airline merely wanted to fish out 4 volunteers to leave or swap their flights with tokens of cash, hotel and meals given but there were no takers. They chose the wrong paths instead of just sending their 4 airline workers to travel by road to reach the destination without any fuss and untoward incidents. It was so sad and angry to see what happened next.....

Several of the scary videos taken during the incident were posted and shared on social media. Now many are looking forward to hearing about the inevitable lawsuit as the victim had collapsed and had to be sent to hospital to treat his injuries. This is truly an isolated case that happened for the first time and shocked the world's travelers. I am flabbergasted and may not boycott this airline as I don't always blame a whole family just because the son is a tyrant.

I must learn to FLY SMARTER & SAFELY!

    1. You were once in this airline industry and would know how wrong the whole thing was. Time and people have changed today.

    1. If I were chosen, I am so greedy and would take the $800 money plus free hotel & food to celebrate another night in Chicago.

When our CX flight to Fukuoka was delayed in HKG, they put us up at Marriot Hotel for free. My wife was so happy and we had delicious dinner with her cousin & wife in Tsimshatsui.

I pity that doctor as no one on earth could expect this to happen. The authorities behaved no better than terrorists.

  4. Yea. Actually they're very narrow thought also, if the four workers are so urgent just book other airline or private jet or any thing. They're seriously ruining their own image because of that 4 workers. And some more ask the Corp to pull passengers out, like children fighting for seats, if can't get the seat, just pull others out.

    1. The whole thing was a messy like a terrible nightmare. I think the airline crew didn't even expect the passenger to be dragged out in that manner. I was very sad to see the victim's face as he reminded me of my late father. Their hairstyle and features looked similar.

Not choosing UA for my future flights. Despicable customer service.

    1. I am sure you saw more news and protests on this issue in your country now. I believe no sane person would allow this to happen. I think I will not boycott this airline but for my own safety, I better think twice when flying.

    1. I had many memories of flight delays across the United States as they have so many excuses to do so. Tornados, Snow Storms, Hurricanes, Heavy Air Traffic dan lain-lain lagi... Big cities like NYC, LA and Chicago have the busiest airports in the world. Every second you could see planes landing and taking off.

  8. The first two pics made me LOL! :D I don't know why the airline had to take such risks to accommodate the 4 airline employees. Shouldn't customers be given priority? The workers could have just gotten a later flight and the airline won't be in this deep sh*t now!

    1. I also laughed hard at all their comics but shared just 2 funniest ones. This whole episode really confused me to debate on why it could not be prevented.

They have very weird laws there which I learnt from my student days. One should be very careful whether to help any victims be it accidents or crimes as it might backfire and get you accused instead. I was reminded never to pick up any dry fallen fruits or leaves in the public parks as they all belong to the Federal Government. Gila!

    1. I asked myself whether such incidents could happen in Asia?

Maybe not at all as our cops are smaller built and our culture is so tidak apa in boleh land.

  11. the victim does not deserved such cruel treatment. What's wrong with humanity these days? he is a senior citizen, why treat him like he's a criminal?!
On another note, there's a lot of memes goin around with this incident which are kinda hilarious.

    1. I agree that he should not be treated that way whether he is a senior or an Asian. He is a paying customer who deserves to be treated like a human with respect and kindness. He did not even commit any crime at all, correct?? Those fellas in the airline are bonkers.

I have been laughing at the twitters and comics shared. I should update the comics in my blog post. Have you ever seen any weird incidents on the planes?
