My New Job - Housesitting

My big sister and her Swedish hubby are away in England for a fortnight, to attend their daughter's graduation at the University of Reading. They had actually "gone back home" as they hold the British PR and once lived for a long time in a typical English house that was huge with spacious gardens spanning across 400 feet which came with a natural river at the back of the house. Those who live in houses with clean river or canal waters running across would often reap windfalls and abundance of wealth according to some Feng Shui beliefs. Hearing this theory and seeing their windfalls, kinda made me believe it.

So they have entrusted the duty for poor me to be their house sitter! One week has passed so swiftly and I am having another week of dreadful chores to undertake. I just googled on the internet that one could work as a housesitter and live all over the world for free and get paid too. Why not hire me??

I don't get paid but I am required to sleep at their luxurious guest room
at the pinnacle of Mont Kiara. It is on the higher floors that command a
panoramic view of KL silhouetted behind the stunning concrete jungles
in the vicinity.

They have a balcony filled with so many plants including strawberry, papaya,
roses, mint, basils and so many other trees. Every plant has got their own
specific requirements to be watered using measuring cups, sprays
and watering cans! I also have to fetch their cleaning maid
over to thoroughly clean and  wash their whole place.

There are 2 precious cats too which were air flown all the way from United Kingdom!
They are terribly spoilt and pampered pussies that need to be fed with the best cat food
twice a day besides getting good brush on their fur coats daily. The lights, air cons
and ventilation fans must be promptly turned on, to keep them relaxed & happy.
I must stay over so that the royalty cats would not be depressed
with their "missing parents".

I just noticed that every single house below comes with their own lap pools!
The developer is so thoughtful.

Introducing you - Their Royal Highness Prince & Princess Pussy Cats
of United Kingdom. They were both born in England & carry their own
birth certificates too. I am not surprised if they have passports too.
I didn't know that English cats have birth certificates!
Do they pay taxes too?

Every evening both the Royalty Pussies would perch on
the balcony to watch the golden sunset. They amazed me
to see what a blissful life to become cats like them.

Bluek!

    1. Nobody wants to jaga pets and water plants. It is not easy to look for suitable persons but I seem to fit the bill.

    1. The cats are quite dumb animals and show no loyalty like dogs but the owners would often brag that cats are smart and snobbish. Whatever lah! LOLOL

  3. Aiyor, what chores? You fetch the maid to clean the house. You only water the plants and feed the royal highnesses. That's like a staycation! ;) You're the lucky one to have the companionship of those two cute (and round) cats...not the other way round...wakakakaka! :D Wow, those cats are so well trained, they can sit on the balcony and not jump over? O_o

    1. Next time I can propose this Staycation job to you. HaHa!
The problem is that my wife and I have full time jobs everyday but we have lots of necessities still at our own abode. This is not a vacation for us but all arrangements are done to suit the 2 cats. Anyways the mutual respect and love of siblings that matters most.

  4. Haha. Not bad. Can really consider to do this after you retired. The most tedious part would have been watering the plants according to their specific requirements. If me, I would have just spray water over all of them :P

    1. Good idea... I always thought that I could be a baby sitter at home when I have retired as the money is so damn good. Now can add house sitting as well.
This is the first time I see how plants are being watered differently. Just like feeding new born babies, young kids and bed ridden patients using different feeding apparatus.

  6. At least you don't have to take care of the cat litter after the cats finished their daily business. Or do you have to? Aiyo you are such a good and trust worthy brother. You could have rented out the place on airbnb for the few weeks that they are not around, hehehehe.

    1. Oh yes, I missed out this most important task! I have to scoop their litter daily and change the whole sand box when too soiled. Why didn't I think of this AirBnB idea?? You are so wise and quick to smell money. I will do it next time.

  7. Your sister and her husband are so hardworking. Planting so many type of fruits and plants in balcony.

What? The air con need to be turned on everyday just for these two British cats? Really so pampered both of them.

    1. I agree that they are so hardworking to plant papaya and strawberries besides the assorted roses. I guess it has nothing to do with saving money but the patience, fun & experience that comes to harvesting the fruits of their labour. The weather has been too hot recently and the cat furs dropped so much. The air con is handy to help to bring down the temperature on/off.

    1. Now it sounds like I owed the cats something in their past lives!! HaHaHa! Now pay back time to jaga anak kucing pulak. The owners could never bear to see their precious cats being caged up at the Pet Hotels. I can understand this.

I am not so blessed like the cats. There were chocolates and pomegranate juices in the fridge.
