A Trendy & Modern Food Court

This is NOT A PAID POST.
All opinions are solely mine & subject to
my own discretion.

My wife and I often head to Cafes and Starbucks in our neighbourhood to meet up with friends and associates for discussions. Sometimes my wife would spend all day there alone to finish her thesis and project assignments without distractions like the comfy sofa and television at home. Recently, we discovered this exclusive and trendy food court. The developer is very thoughtful and had planned so well before they completed this new & popular shopping mall.

It is located on Level 3 of Starling's Shopping Mall.
Get to this level and head to FOODIES' NEST.

The whole section is so spacious and well ventilated with natural lighting besides the chic and modern furnishing.

They have so much green plants and sitting areas with different seats & stools for your comfort.

They have so many private corners to bring your darling to sit inside the bird cage or chat with friends and do some classroom projects. Here my friend was with us and looked serious in rushing his paper work for us. You can order the delicious food and beverages from the food court to enjoy at any corner you fancy, without extra charges. You can sit all day without ordering and this has become a popular haven for many students to revise their studies with friends. The interior decor is simply fabulous.

This thoughtful developer has planted so many trees to liven up the whole vicinity & transformed it into a green hub. They tidied up and tiled all the pavements in order to create the bicycle lanes. Honestly, the whole area is very busy now with many more cars! They still double park or choose to park in the multi levels parking space below The Starling's Mall. That's a bonus.

I plan to ride my bicycle around the whole area and probably reward myself with ice cream at Family Mart after burning some calories. Come join me for a ride

Happy Holidays!

  1. When I see Starling's Shopping Mall, the person that comes into my mind is kakak Phong Hong... I wonder did you ever bump into kakak Phong Hong there?

    1. Yeah! I always suspect that she has some shares over there. Starling is her second home.

  5. This place looks and sounds cool and I really love the ambiance lit by natural light and modern furniture to suit different comfort levels. In the more populated world getting a peaceful/private space in public is not easy, and this foodie nest has enough space and also the go green is nourishing.

    1. I agree with you and there is a need to green our earth again after so many trees have been cut down. Many new building architectures in our city are blending with lots of natural creeper plants and green landscapes.

  7. Since you can 'bike' around there, you can now 'stalk' PH tomorrow on a PH (aka public holiday)....haha! :D Yeah, I quite like these new and modern food courts that have sprung up in some shopping malls.

    1. Aiyo! This lady is always hiding like a mouse while she eats like a whale. I have been hunting high & low at Starling for her through her Selipar Jepun without success.

Most malls have nice food courts nowadays but this one at Starling encourages lap top users to spend their time there. They have lots of latest multi sockets and chargers. Amazing!

  8. didn't notice there's a bike lane here - i better be careful as a pedestrian walking here, so that a cyclist doesn't crash into me, heheh :D

  9. Riding your bike going to the mall sounds fun. I love doing it with the mister. We ride our bikes for a few miles, and stop at this old church turned into an independent cafe.

The flooring as seen on the 4th photo looks like a Fendi logo pattern. :D

The greeneries looks so refreshing in the concrete jungle. Love it.

    1. There are many lovely malls with green concept in the US during my student days. I guess my country is lagging behind in development. I remembered seeing one mall in Washington DC which had lots of palm trees growing in the middle!

I was cracking my head on the familiar floor patterns. Thanks for telling me it is FENDI logo!

  10. I also love to spend my times in cafe lately - updating my blog, planning my trips and more. How I wish if all the developers are thoughtful as Starling's Shopping Mall to build at least one private corner for visitors to sit down, enjoy food and relax?

  12. The Food Court looks very cosy, provided there is no crowd if not I don't think I will spend hours there as there maybe other people waiting for the seats, actually I am someone who can just sit at cafes and fast food restaurants for hours just reading my books, precious me time

    Happy Labour Day

  13. So what did you eat there? So far I have only tried KOMs. I have not seen anyone cycling and what is annoying are motorcycles using those bike lanes and riding on the pavements in front of the shophouses.

    1. I ate at the Annie-1 stall cos that manager waved at me. He recognized me from far. Besides that I ate the roti bakar with butter kaya and Kopi kau. best nie.

We have really weird road users until today. Cars parked at motorbike lots and motorbikes parked at motorcar lots. Speechless!

The collage photo with your friend doing something on his laptop looked like a proper working desk with power supply sockets, is it?

    1. Yes this place is the 2nd home of our Uptown Queen! She is getting famous now and I need to alert the developer to crown her.

The long working desks are really well equipped with multi sockets and charger points! So canggih lah.

  23. The manager suggested doing a signature cocktail during cocktail hour, which turned to be a huge hit. There is a full bar close to the entrance area of wedding venues Los Angeles, so we were covered there too. Dessert was a presentation of cookies (all looked homemade) and my favorite was the white chocolate, macadamia nut.
