A Good Start In Year 2020

Hola! I am back again after a very long hiatus. I guess that I have been missing for 2 months and 21 days to be exact. So many good things have taken place and let me share a quick summary today.

1. I went to Thailand with a bunch of aunties from my wife's side. We took an overnight bus from KL to Ha'adyai. The journey back was horrible as the highway jam on a Sunday took forever to reach KL at almost midnight after a morning departure from Thailand. This photo of yours truly with the Deity Guang Gong.

2. We stayed at a very popular hotel there which was haunted. So many people died in the basement  when the town was heavily flooded many years ago.

3. The most famous IRONMAN in Malaysia Alfred Cheong invited me and my wife to his huge bungalow house for a Christmas party. We met so many IRONMAN participants that night and enjoyed the most sumptuous buffet dinner with free flow of freshly squeezed juices and alcoholic beverages. Look at all his family's medals on the wall.

4. I followed the same bunch of my wife's aunties to Sekinchan. It is getting boring for me after seeing that sleepy village for countless times.

5. Here's the aunties posing while I was the photography Art Director.

6. This year I ate the Yee Sang many times. I hope my tossing would bring me better luck.

7. I visited my cousin's house on Chinese New Year and he invited 3 Lions to dance from ground floor up to the roof top on the 4th floor!! First time I saw the drummers went up on his elevator inside the house. I even hugged the God of Wealth to bless me with more MONEY!

8. Hell broke loose when the Wuhan Virus started to spread. I had booked my trip to China many months ago and had to reluctantly waste my tickets 2 days before our trip. I was only planning to visit Guangzhou to spend a week there to enjoy the Chinese New Year spirit.

I was sad for days but our safety and health should be the priority..... Suddenly AirAsia announced refunds for tickets purchased to selected places in China. Bingo! They have fully refunded me with credits to my account and I am free to re-book to any other destinations. Now where should I go?

9. My office has moved to a new location in Desa Park City which is an award winning development. My office sits on top of the Plaza Arkadia which commands a vibrant & happening scene every evening with lots of merry drinkers and diners who flock to this vibrant area. Hope the new Feng Shui would be good here with so many fountains below.

    1. It was funny that I was being tied down by so many matters. My old office was packed up and I had no computer to use for weeks. So I read all blogs from my phone.
I have mood to go for holiday but no where is safe except Malaysia. So I will head to Kelantan again this weekend.

  3. 2 months into 2020, so many things have happened. No wonder the aunties wanted you to come along. Be their professional photographer. Haha. Love the aunties pose at the paddy field.

I went to China early December. Came back to Malaysia on 11th, and a week later or so, the virus was on the news. Luckily we went early.

    1. It was fun going out with the aunties. They are different from the uncles that I hang out with.

You are so lucky to visit China and came back safely. When I booked my air tickets early last year, I did not expect disasters to be coming up. I learnt this lessons too that life is really unpredictable.

  6. Glad that you are back! Hope that all will be well for you at your new office. The aunties must have had a lot of fun having a clown follow them on holiday. I bet they were so entertained by your jokes! It's a good thing that you got a refund for the cancelled trip. Best to stay put for the time being and stay safe and healthy.

    1. Yes in real life. I am much sillier and crazier than one can imagine. My wife knows better.

I am getting restless now with the credit refunds given as I need to use it by May 18th. Where should I go? Jaipur? India is safest.

    1. I was shocked that they ranked #2 now when they just advised their folks not to visit Malaysia for own safety.

Yes the distance to work from home is a bliss now with no more daily jam of lorries heading to Sg Buloh & KL. Jalan Kuala Selangor is an unspeakable road.

  8. Horray, TM is back!
Plaza Arkadia/Desa Park City is one of my favourite neighbourhoods for dining or strolling around. I have my weekly jog there too! Maybe we will bump into each other one day and make sure you say Hi to me ya! ^__^

    1. I knew that you love to hang out around this beautiful place. You must be those orang atas la who bring their poodles and daughters for evening stroll & dining. You have been so transparent that I would be able to recognize your whole family.

  9. Welcome back, TM! With the amount of yee sang you ate this year + rubbing shoulders with the God of Wealth, I'm sure prosperity in both work and life will descend upon you this year. ^_~

Luckily, you got a refund for your China trip. Where to go? Safest...cuti-cuti Malaysia-lah...hehehe! ;)

Your new office location must be very exciting...with plenty of drinking & dining options abound. I'm sure you'll have a whale of a time with food & drinks there.

    1. I would do anything now to have a better year 2020. Thank you very much for your kind wishes as no one knows the pain I have been enduring for so long now.

I will hang on to my credit refunds until the deadline in May whereby I need to rebook another destination anytime. I will follow my wife for her workcation again in Kelantan this weekend and say Hello to the horses in the stable.

I really enjoy my new office's vicinity after working in the polluted industrial hub for over 10 years. Here I get to be spoilt by too many cafes and international restaurants. Come visit here with Cookie someday as they designed it to be a pets' haven.

I think you, hubby & son collected more medals to match that Cheong family. We are no way near there. Ha ha!

I think I am happiest working above Plaza Arkadia with too many restaurants to choose everyday.

    1. I agree that almost all hotels are haunted just because the spirits overlap the place in their dimensions. They probably also said that it was haunted with human beings! LOLOL

The world is so sick now with the Corvid-19 and the new backdoor government. So sad la.

  14. My husband and I have been married for about 7 years now. We were happily married with two children, a boy and a girl. 3 months ago I started to notice strange behavior from him and a few weeks later I discovered that my husband was seeing someone. He started coming home late from work, he doesn't care about me or the kids anymore, sometimes he goes out and doesn't even come home for about 2-3 days. I did everything I could to correct this problem but to no avail. I became very worried and needed help. One day when I was surfing the Internet, I came across a website that suggested that Dr. Padman could help resolve marital problems, restore broken relationships, and so on. So I felt like I had to give it a try. I contacted him and he made a spell for me. Two days later, my husband came to see me and apologized for the wrongs he had committed and promised to never do it again. Since then, everything has returned to normal. My family and I live happily together again. All thanks to Dr. Padman. If you need a spellcaster capable of casting a spell that really works, I suggest you contact him. He will not disappoint you.
