An Early Birthday Gift

Wow! A huge parcel box arrived my door step today!

I did not order anything, so it must be for my wife.
Guess what it was?

An Air Fryer! That's what my wife has wanted to buy since 2 years ago and still procrastinated until now. Her indecisive brands to purchase must have sent her thoughts into the universe and some well wishers have caught wind of it.

The August born birthday girl is extremely happy now and beaming from cheek to cheek. Thanks to her 3 sworn AJA sisters Agnes, Joyce & Angel for buying this very useful gift for her. She truly appreciates it. We will be living longer by many years once we start eating healthy food being cooked from this Air Fryer. I think there's 1001 dishes that can be cooked with this new toy. Any good suggestions from all the blogger chefs??

    1. I think I will keep slow cooker and air fryer for my old age if I were to live alone. They are healthier for cooking for old people.

  5. My previous air fryer looks like this also, and recently it went bust, shortly after the warranty period expired. Now I changed to something called Air Fryer Oven. Am loving it.

  10. I thought the early birthday gift was for you from the title. I don't own an air fryer so I won't have any suggestions for you. I'm sure your wife will be whipping up some delicious (and healthy) air fryer recipes for you soon to enjoy. I've also been thinking if I should get one but heard it works just like a convection oven (which I already have). So.

    1. Now I agree the theory that it works like a convection oven! Just that oven has no pot to stir, hence the heat would be distributed differently. Let me go take a good look now.

    Take care

    1. I thought air fryer is a bit like the huge earthen jars in India where they bake the naan breads. Sometimes they cooked something else inside using the natural heat too.

  14. I got my AF from a cooking competition 7 years ago and still serves me well until now (sent to repair once in between). It's one of my favourite electrical appliances because its function is not only limited to frying but you can also reheat and baking! You can join those FB groups where the members will share plenty of recipes and tips on the AF. Good luck and looking forward to see more air fried food postings from you!
